Remember that exquisite tea set that your grandmother had in the family hutch?  How badly you wanted to see it and touch it and hopefully drink from it.  That display in our curio cabinet can have the same appeal to us today and our children.  Yes, kitchen accents come in a variety of forms that include  tea sets and miniature tea sets.  There is just something special about tea sets.  Making a cup of tea, pouring the water from your teapot into that dainty tea cup, waiting while the tea stoops for awhile and the steam and the aroma permeate your senses can make you feel warm, relaxed, in a special mood. If you’re feeling under the weather, that warm scintillating cup of tea from your personal tea cup will help you feel better.

Now visualize how good you can make someone else feel by pouring water from a beautiful tea set of their own.  If you know someone in the hospital or nursing home or just feeling a little lonely, giving them a tea set as a gift can be like giving them flowers. It would be a very thoughtful presentation of your love and feeling for them.    Ever watch the British during tea time and noticed the dignified setting and how it may tickle your taste buds and thus stimulates your desire to make some. Also,  Our children may ask us to join them in their own  tea party.

In addition, they come in some very precious designs.  Some very elegant and tasteful, some whimsical, some with flowers, some with small animals, and some with artful patterns as if taken from Monet himself.  There are many individuals who choose not to use them but just to look at them from afar.  How many china cabinets do we see with these eye catching tea sets that when the sun shine hits them reflects the dignity they deserve.  No question about it – tea sets, indeed, make beautiful kitchen accents.
