We spend a great deal of time in our kitchens and like other rooms we need a small measure of inspiration.  If we have a small kitchen than maybe we can use small, dainty and delicate kitchen accents not only to use but to look at and enjoy with family and guests.  Could our joy come from such things as salt and pepper shakers or tea sets for example.  Sometimes our joy comes not only eating but sharing and observing objects of color and design, different pictures that bring back memories of childhood, or perhaps sharing them with our own children.  These same simple accents can also be placed in and around our cabinets, shelves, counters or even refrigerator.

Decorating our kitchen does not mean a total makeover, all it may take are one or two favorite pieces to spruce up our lives and could even affect our cooking perspective.  Adding such accents along with say fresh towels, coasters, personal wall decor or pictures etc… can change the whole personality of your kitchen and can be done very inexpensively.
