After a time our kitchen counters can become boring or lacking color and eye appeal.  That can change very inexpensively by using a little imagination and personal taste.  Why not find something around the house you fell in love with and want to look at more often; something country, modern, old, new, retro, classical.  Add flowers, a vase, a basket filled with fruit, a bread box, a canister set, or perhaps something that makes you laugh.

Kitchen accents can add flare, beauty, excitement, inspiration, not only to you personally, but to your children, your friends and family.  When you wake up in the morning and make that perfect cup of coffee or tea, why not gander at that perfect treat you added that adds a smile and a positive reaction.  Put it where the morning light shines on your parade and you realize you just decorated your kitchen with that little something that became something special.

Entertaining guests at home can be stressful especially when you have limited time to prepare. Luckily, there is delicious takeout food available that is already nicely prepared. At least ordering takeout food will save you the hassle of rushing to cook a meal. It is also wise to keep some finger food, such as nuts or candies, and a bottle of wine handy.

Guests will also be impressed if your house is clean and clutter-free. You can light some fragranced pillar candles to make your home more inviting. The aroma of the candles will dissipate throughout the room and will also get rid of any embarrassing odors. Candles are a stylish way to set-up the dinner table, too.

Your deck or lanai now clean, perhaps painted or stained and now ready for color, design, or even something whimsical.  Time to bring out the stored items; table, chairs, umbrella, plant hangers and loads of deck accents.  Just one thing missing – nothing next to your favorite, most comfortable chair.  Why not try a glass accent table for size.  It will add color, shape, style and design, especially if your looking for something, well, different from past years.

You can purchase accent tables from most any prominent store; however, usually they all look alike don’t they.  If you are the person who wants a creative pattern to your deck or for any empty space than perhaps outdoor patterns, flower patterns, animal patterns, motorcycle patterns, bonsai fountain patterns, under the sea patterns, may be the ticket – get the picture?  Artistry and vision are impressive ways to enhance your deck flavor and kick it up a notch or two.

As spring approaches and weather improves most of us begin a mental transformation.  How can we make decorative improvements at a reasonable cost.  Purchasing plants is usually a top priority and than the decision is where to put them.  Hanging plants are generally preferred; however;  other than the ground can I place them as an accent some where.  A suggestion would be wood, metal,  wire basket, or wrought iron plant stands.

These plant stands add a variety of options regarding size, color, different arrangements and tiers, and unique designs.  They can be placed out in the open, again walls, near or next to tables, the decor options are many.  Styles include country charm, multi-tier, multi- wide, verdigris finishes, antiqued, flowered, rustic, or fold able and the list is also many.  Try real plants only, or real and fake together, or substitute something else you  like to see in vacant spaces.  Wouldn’t it be fantastic to see a gorgeous ivy floating down one side and a colorful flower down the other now add your favorite decor accent in the middle.  Outdoors and indoors, a plant stand is a must to improve home decor and make you feel better.

Overlooking someone Else’s yard, as spring approaches, just might give a person the feeling that they have something you don’t have.  If that one thing is a yard accent, that feeling can easily be modified.  That one something special could change the complexity of your attitude.  For example, a pair of colorful flamingos or some garden plaque, a gorgeous bird house or feeder, perhaps a weather vane.  You see, it doesn’t have to be expensive to provide eye appeal and make it greener on your side.

Finding something to enhance your yard will also invite wildlife and that in itself will improve the outdoor setting.  Decorative home accents are as invigorating outdoors and they are indoors.  Don’t be afraid to add something to a fence, or a post, or anything that can make you feel better, relaxed and release stress.  Personal choice is prevalent.  Be proud of your decision and don’t be afraid to experiment.  Like the inside of your home, the outside can also be altered to suite your taste and enjoyment.  Have fun!

There was a time when candle holders were used for the obvious.  Today they have become extremely popular as home accessories and wall decor.  Yes, they are beautiful when married with a scented candle and lit in order to enjoy both the fragrance and the ambiance.  However, people also are content to utilize these accents in multiple places for elegant home decorating.  They somehow suggest the tranquility of the lit flame even when they are not.

OK, the traditional look as a center piece on your table along with candle wax dripping down the side is still in style, and that is one suggestion.  Another maybe to use wood, glass, ceramic or wrought iron, tea light platform stands, candelabra, birdcage styles, just to name a few, placed in focal points through out the home.  They fit in tiny places or in large rooms; perhaps in your bathroom, home office, kitchen cabinets, bedroom stands, next to other favorite home accents pieces, decks, lanai’s and so forth.  Sconces, leaf arrangements, and wrought iron figurines make perfect wall decor.  Want a elegant look try floating candles shaped in fresh flower arrangements.  Like periodic change, than rotate the handle holders in each room; a simple,  reasonable and cost effective way to decorate your room.  With a little imagination and sense of style, your home will become absolutely breathtaking and eye catching candle holders will enhance that objective.
