garden swing

If you’re blessed with a green thumb but very little in the way of design sense, there’s no need to fret. The most stunning gardens utilize flowers as the star of the show. Your blooms and blossoms should top the marquee, but it doesn’t hurt to throw in a garden accent or two – just to tie the whole thing together. Try to find items that don’t detract too much attention from your roses and gardenias.

If you’ve tried a decorative birdbath and found that it hogs the spotlight, try adding a simple yard swing. These handsome wooden pieces add function to an otherwise aesthetically pleasing part of the property. Swings lend the garden a lived-in quality, which will make guests feel more cozy and welcome when they’re admiring the foliage.

Designing an Office for a Home Based Business

For home business owners, it’s important to create an office like space in the home to ensure work is completed. Often when home business owners don’t take their business seriously, they find themselves unsuccessful. The first step to a successful home business is a home office. The home office should be a space that doesn’t have a lot of distractions, ie. no television. It’s important to have the right office furnishings as well, including a desk, computer, and writing utensils.

When home business owners create a serious space for their business, they in turn take the business more seriously, and are thus more successful. It’s important to have an office space whether it’s a whole room or just a corner of the living room where work is conducted. It’s also important to use that space for work and not for play. When work only is done in the space, just being there will make it much likelier for work to be completed while sitting there.
