When considering decorative home accents, particularly on our walls,  it may be prudent to take into consideration a little designable forethought.  Proper presentation of wall art can be very powerful to the eye.  Therefore, there are few elements that designers meditate upon.  For example, the size of the room, what color are your walls, what other home accent pieces already exist, what size artistry do you want to display or what material does it consist of, what kind of furniture do you have etc… It is suggested that you should consider bringing out the accent colors of your room by matching the appropriate artwork to them.  Also it is suggested that the style of your artwork be a major consideration when arranging art in the room.

So, is this to be considered a complex equation?  Not necessarily.  History dictates to our family that experimentation helps immensely.  Firstly, take an overall view of your objective, what is it that your attempting to accomplish.  Secondly, taking into consideration what lighting you currently have, what do want to focus on the most,  and that might help to dictate at what level you want to hang the artwork.  The design of your furniture, window coverings, and other accents,  must all be kept in mind  when arranging art in order for it to be the focal p0int of your room.  The idea is to try to complement the art with your room’s color and design schemes.  These are just some suggestions; perhaps, the rest is simply your personal desires and imagination.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

In addition, there are other kinds of canvas art to choose from to include modern art, pop art, abstract art or landscapes just to name a few.  It is important, however, to determine the right canvas art accents to compliment your decor.  You want to find a picture that combines the other accents, styles, paint color, or even to connect them all in the room.  Frame or no frame, depth or do what it to pop out at you and then where should I put it to achieve my goal to bring life to the room and to yourself.  Not that difficult, just close your eyes, picture it your mind,  make a decision and enjoy.

39275We can have the most beautiful floors, colorful and comfortable furniture; however, as we look around at eye level our walls are drab.  Most people like doing a double take at something unique when walking into a room;  isn’t that true?  If that’s not the case with us, could we consider our walls as a canvas waiting to be painted?  Wall art, canvas, pictures, clocks, murals, mirrors, flowers etc… subsitute attractiveness, warmth, pleasure even memories rather than boring nothingness.

Wall decor for home, office, kitchen, bedroom placed at the correct highth, shape, contour, provides eye catching focal points.  In addtion, it does not have to be expensive.  One or two appropriately placed wall accents  along with something personal, or something around the home, can become something mellow and perhaps add balance to your world.  Take for example a person who loves the out doors, a well placed mirror set with a nature scene may by extension paint a picture that transforms our wall to fit where we want to be.

384171.gifNo fooling, isn’t wall art timeless and beautiful.  The living room is primarily where large works of art or murals are displayed.  Whether a new purchase or a family portrait; either, brings warmth and continuity to the room.  A professional interior designer is not crucial in developing a central theme for home wall decor.

However, designer home accessories are not limited to one room only.  Imagine a wall decor, a mirror, a metal candle sconce, a small water fountain, a unique clock; any accent that reflects your personal flavor, placed in a home office or bathroom.  Today many people search for just the right kitchen decor to create the perfect atmosphere or motif.

Doesn’t wall art or hangings or pictures create cozy themes, romantic settings, or sentimental feelings?  The possibilities are endless aren’t they?  One simple change can create something special and timeless.  It doesn’t have to be expensive to be stylish and beautiful, just what you personally want it to be.  Try it – you’ll like it!
